EPA Approved Chemicals Linked to Sudden Death. They Are Also Permanent.

The EPA approved a class of chemicals through expedited review. Expedited review follows the same safety process as standard review, compressed into fewer calendar days. The chemicals do not break down in the environment. Permanent means the chemicals will remain where they are applied indefinitely.

Chemicals approved through expedited channels have caused harm before. This is documented in records that are now classified, which is a category of information that exists but cannot be accessed by the public that will be exposed to the chemicals. The pattern is approval followed by discovery followed by reclassification.

The chemicals are already in use. Reversal at this stage requires demonstrating harm that exceeds the legal threshold for reversal, which is higher than the threshold that permitted approval.
