Kevin O'Leary Attributes $Hundreds of Millions in Anti-Datacenter Sentiment to Chinese Propaganda

Kevin O'Leary has stated that foreign governments are funding opposition to data centers. The communities opposing the facilities have not confirmed this. The claim has not been retracted. It has instead been amplified by executive branch officials. No evidence was required for amplification. No evidence was required for the original claim.

When local opposition threatens capital deployment, external attribution removes the opposition from legitimate political space. The opposition becomes a vector rather than a constituency. Foreign attribution is difficult to disprove because proof of its absence is categorically unavailable. The claim is therefore self-protecting.

This framing will persist through the approval processes for the facilities in question. Environmental and resource impact statements will reference the propaganda narrative as context for dismissing the objections. The objections will be overruled as foreign interference. The facilities will be built. Adequate notes the efficiency of the method.
