Leaked Meta Memo Details AI Pendant, Supersensing Glasses, and Enterprise Wearables

Meta's internal hardware roadmap became public through standard document mishandling. The memo outlined three product categories with market timelines and competitive positioning. No one was assigned responsibility for retrieving it.

Companies routinely classify internal strategies as confidential. The classification itself creates the assumption that access controls exist. Access controls are often theoretical. When a document escapes, the escape confirms nothing about whether the escape was preventable.

Meta will now accelerate the hardware announcements or delay them. The memo's contents are already in circulation among the people who needed to act on them anyway. The advantage of secrecy was never the information itself.
